I have a 2004 1000rr blade and i think its over fuelling i recently changed the exhaust could this be the problem? if so any ideas please, is this bike fitted with a power band?
i know what i have mate i also see you have an ability for jokes lol, however i uses to get 140 miles to a tank of fuel i change the exhaust now i only get 106 and no its not an RD350 I've had one
An idea where to start would be.... Perhaps if you can give the people who view your thread a little more information to go off your question may soon be answered? You changed the exhaust, okay, but now was that a standard exhaust to an aftermarket? And if so what branding? Does the bike have a power commander fitted? This usually helps with smoothing out fuelling issues by downloading and installing the correct map from the dynojet website site when after market cans are fitted. From what I've become to understand from previous posts over the years you don't always have to fit a PC, but sometimes it will cost more fuel or poor running at certain revs low down without one? A whole lot of reasons could be the problem, there's a wealth of informative peeps on here who may be able to point you in the right direction, so Let's hope with the added information you get sorted very soon? Good luck
As GaryB said people will need more info. Did you change the entire system or just the end can? Did you de-cat the system? What exhaust did you fit? As for power bands, maybe this will help http://www.planetash.net/gos/powerbands.html
