https://abc7chicago.com/pets-animals/jaguar-attacks-woman-taking-selfie-at-az-zoo-/5181215/ You just can't make this up. This is why I am of the opinion that stupidity should be fatal.
The real crap about this is that the woman will sue the zoo and likely be awarded some kind of monetary compensation.
Stupid bitch, did she think the barriers did not apply to her, or that don't apply in general to feckin ignorant bitches taking selfies
This happens so often: lion enclosures; gorilla enclosures etc. Not politically correct, but they deserve what they get.
This may or may not have something to do with how animals are represented in the West. Animal welfare and conservation is a massive massive concern to everybody - we grow up 100% believing that animals are the good guys and that they need our protection. As kids we play with toy animals that are given human characters and names - like fellow people. I have seen this before where it leads to the belief that animals are our friends that universally recognise this. Like all animals can recognise liberal welfare attitudes and understand that we are helping out and just want to be friends - after all they may have paid to a support charity, like the animal will recognise this. Hello Mr Leopard we are all friends - crunch ! I think this might have something to do with the fact that people may not recognise wild animals as dangerous. The other thing I have noticed is the media makes excuses when a Polar Bear eats someone, or someone gets attacked by a shark - they say the animal was unwell or old and sick and somehow did this by mistake. As we humans think more and more that animals are not dangerous and get closer to them, then we are going to get hurt. In the media we have seen shark attacks, tigers, leopards, sea lions, cougars, polar bears, wolves, even coyotes have attacked people. Conclusion - never walk around in the wild without a big stick !
Actually not as dangerous as it looks - if you look closer the car door is a different shade than the front wing. That’s because the front of the car is through an armoured glass screen so the calm looking people in the car are well protected and the lion can eat the meat without any chance of getting to the people watching from the other side of the glass. For the record, yes - I am a smart arse. I’ll get my coat
Good observation. My first impression was that it's been photoshopped because the clarity of the lion is greater than those in the car. Also the facial expressions of those in the car could not possibly be representative of an actual situation. My coat's on the same rack.
