Pipe not connected to anything..any ideas?

I have just noticed white plastic headed pipe that is not connected to anything and cannot find any fitting or pipe that would connect to it? Can anyone identify what this is please?

 

It connects to a pipe on the fuel tank

 

yeah someone has had the tank up, that will will the two pipes apart at that white connector, you might have to lift the tank to find the fuel drain tube that sits under it, thread it back down the side of the engine and plug it into that white connector to join the pipes together

panicking now, So if fuel overflowed on my bike when filling it would it catch on fire with hose not connected?!! getting worried as took bike down to bike mechanic who serviced my bike and he said that was just a breather pipe ??

 

I've had my bike from new and the pipe on mine wasn't connected at the top. Had to lift the tank last week to connect it back on.

 

I've put little wire ties/zip clips on mine to stoo them coming off.

 

Don't worry about it. Just guide it down when you drop the tank and it'll stay on. Try pulling it up from the side stand to give you more room.

 

All sorted now...
Lifted tank up found other end of pipe and routed back down all connected now. Thanks for everyone's advice much appreciated.
