I'm starting to plan a trip to the TT in 2019 (long way off I know) and would like to know a ball park figure for the ferry and hotels/camping etc.

    Thanks in advance!

I've paid £240 ish for return Ferry Bike & Rider (Race week)

Camp sites about £7 a night. Homestay £25+ a night. B&B / Hotels - hard to find availability and very expensive!

    Watching the racing - FREE!

Thanks! I think we're probably going to camp, don't like the idea of all the kit on the bike though.

How much is it for a van on the ferry? I rode up from Devon last year for the Manx gp and it was hell!

£200 for a 4 day ferry return £240 if you stay for more than 4 days.
Plus four hours of your life trying to get through on the phone to the ferry company on the day the tickets go on sale .
There are places that have tents set up on sites for you to rent so you don't have to carry your own ,but the best thing you can do is try to get a homestay,as the weather can be cracking the flags or floating your tent off down the field as has happened in the last 2 years.
That ferry price is for a bike and rider .

    Thanks for all the help!!!

The plan is to hire a lwb sprinter and put the three bikes and camping stuff in. Then if the weathers bad we can park the bikes in the tent and sleep in the van.

There are usually some sailings that become available early March. The balances are due (for people who have paid deposits) at end of February. Keep checking online - you might get lucky. Having said that, I don't think you can book a van online.

Yh I saw the Baron do that in his tt video. I always thought that there was a certain amount of tickets per ferry and once their sold that's it.

I arrange for me and my mates to go and you can pretty much guarantee at least on of them will drop out when it comes to paying off the ferry tickets due to being skint, not having booked time off work or the missus has put her foot down.
Plus people lose their jobs or licences or write off their bikes etc etc.
