Hi guys, I’m new here and desperately trying to solve in issue. Had the 1000rr for about 3 months now an haven’t had many chances to get her out so was devastated last weekend when she wouldn’t change to any gear above second. Thought it was a snapped detent spring but the gearbox has been stripped out and that’s not the case. The gearbox works as it should when it’s on the bench but still won’t change above second when it’s back inside the bike. My mechanic is lost so if there is anyone that’s had similar issues and can help or in fact any help would be greatly appreciated.

a bloke called Paul Vaughan, he’s a trained Honda mechanic from Gateshead. Great work at a decent price altho if I’d looked into the issue and bought a workshop manual I could have done it myself.
