Thanks - this is going off to Honda America with a great big WTF?

You know that Honda America even arrogantly told us that the "ideal and only supported tyre pressures are the numbers in the owners manual".

I kid you not, this is how arrogant & childish Honda is when you try discuss the performance of the bike with them.

Well I would like to know what the Honda techs done on this 2 day launch to stop all the faults from accruing, nobody on any of the launch reviews said. (Great bike, lovely suspension, o by the way the quickshifter/auto blipper has stopped working and we got no torque management systems.
    Strange

I looked at the video, its the one we all watched before.

Maybe I missed the dimensions of the tyre. Was it listed somewhere?

As to what they did, probably nothing. If actual tyre dimensions are within the margin then where will be no issue to deal with.

That is the size if the Bridgestone V02 you see advertised to buy today, but what was the exact size of the tyres installed on those pre-production 2017 CBR1000RR press bikes?

If the bikes where all running 655mm tall rear tyres then Honda was using some kind of custom setup just for the press bikes and did a conscious bait and switch on their customers and have literally committed a fraud on every buyer.

That’s the only size off the shelf V02 I’ve ever known made for the rear of a bike, they are packaged up in the videos exactly as we would receive them when ordered.
So either Bridgestone are in on it or Honda have been sneaky, but was this before the whole John mcguiness and Guy Martin crash when Honda got scared and locked the sports kit?

All these videos are from the November/December 2016 press junket and the NW200/TT accidents happened in the 2017 summer race season.
The bikes had been on sale and available for almost 4 months by the time the accidents happened.

The sport kit was locked out from the day the bike went on sale.

I just wish they had been honest in what they promoted and what they sold.
