Thanks Slick hrmm I might go out now for a quick run and try it again. Surely cruising speeds should be running on the lean side. Will see how I go.
Ok just came back and same thing. Was all 2nd and a little 3rd gear because on the street. The avg fuel consumption on the dash shows 14.7KM/L but I went for a decent sporty ride right after I filled up and it's only been 70klms. The bike feels perfect just like it did when I got it two months ago completely stock and it also idles fine.
Fred, What is the target AFR figures that you have listed under the display mode / target AFR, it would seem to me that the figures you are getting is due to the Bazzaz system having target figures are between 12-13 and this is why the recorded figures are as your screenshots!
The whole range is set to 13.2 and I am running a 0 map. The recorded values are just what the sensor reads thought right? What bearing does the target AFR have on the actual reading? The target just allows it to calculate the difference required from the reading...so I thought anyway.
What happens if you accept the trims the Bazzaz is suggesting and headed out for another run? Does the recorded AFR change towards your target ratios? I have no experience with the Bazzaz kit only the dynojet stuff, but they both do same thing and only the software is main difference.
It was weird because the first time I swear it said a lot of +17 etc so I applied it then when I got home it was the opposite. Almost like they cancelled each other out etc. From what I understand: You set your target to say 13.2 then you start reading. After you retrieve the results it gives you two things, the actual readings from the sensor and the calculated percentages required to reach your target. Since I am running a 0 map the readings is all I care about at the moment since they are reading rich as read from the sensor with the stock mapping The main question is, do these bikes run rich from the factory? The fact that the bike feels so normal makes me think yes but would be great to hear from others.
Below is the generic Power commander map for a stock blade. I'm no techy but I'd say on average the PC leans out the stock map... so in the most part this would indicate that they run rich???. This is of course a map for a particular Blade on a certain day so others may be different.
Just checking you are gonna smooth out that value at 10%@ 8k, looks like a spurious value, probably where you change gear or engine brake with the throttle slightly open I found this with the Autotune also as it leaned out in those areas too.
Yes was thinking that and good to know it's probably correct. My local dealer is going to let me use his dyno with some supervision and he also said we can use their sensors to double check. Probably wont be for a couple weeks though.
