Duke of Edinburgh had a car accident yesterday as someone T-Boned him pulling out off his driveway! It makes a change for him to be involved in a car accident, rather than just arranging them for other people! Love it! There is a serious undertone to this incident...the geezer is 97 years old. I think that there should be a mandatory upper age limit at which point you have to prove yourself physically able to react to certain stimuli.....like ducking a good right hander! - or similar more scientific tests.

I know the spot well were it happened and no doubt now we will have speed camera, reduced speed limits etc. what winds me up is the coverage it is getting and the media stating maybe he should stop driving, reporters at the scene looking at some glass on the floor saying this was the window, silly. as for oldies driving if they still have everything fully functioning why not, 17 year olds have accidents and we are not trying to take them off the road. also great road for a ride and bikes meet at Hunstanton most Sundays Pete
