Nees some new rear brake pads and there's such an choice out there, I don't track the bike just normal road riding and the odd spirited ride. What's a good option? I've had EBC fitted to the fronts and looking on the bay there's these **Clearance** New Rear Brake Pads Honda CBR1000 RR4-RR5 blade 04-05 | eBay which seem a bargain!! And then there's these Honda CBR1000RR CBR1000 Fireblade 2004-2005 Pair EBC HH Rear Brake Pads FA174HH | eBay at near four times the price.

The rear brake on mine has always been pretty poor so I guess there's not a lot in it performance wise, I'm tempted to try the cheap pads as an experiment. I've tried goldfren rears on my old Cbr600 and didn't notice any braking loss compared to the OEM.

    What are you guys/girls using?

I too am confused about the brake pads to use, my situation is the fronts. If I were changing the backs (my rear brake is not great) I would not use poor quality, I would want to make the best out of not the best rear brake, and they will last for a long time so the cost is not so relevant, but you will be stuck with them for a long time.
    Good Luck,

In short, whatever is cheap on the back and whatever is shit hot on the front.

I've never ever worn out a rear set of pads no matter how long I've owned a Bike!
