Ok I have the bike in a few bits. new Chain and Sprocket came today and all I have to do is find out how to use my old but never used chain tool :roll eyes: but also how to remove the plastic cover over the left of the blade. Which from my understanding covers ABS leads etc..

Anyone removed the plastic cover on the Left engine side without removing/ loosening the fairing?

    Any tips?

I've been looking on Ytube to see if there is any clips but found nothing yet

    cheers

You will need to remove 1 fairing bolt and the gear selector to remove the abs cover. Removing you just pull it off refitting takes a bit of a knack

NB You should be able to loosen the sprocket nut using the rear brake alone

Yes you do need to remove loosen 1 fairing bolt but that's all.

Comes off easy enough but refitting requires some gynaecology skills!

I hope you've dropped a tooth off the front for better acceleration? ;)

dunno if I mentioned it but GB racing covers fit under the ABS cover. essential mod for any bike IMO

Yup 1 up on the rear and 1 down on the front. And good heads up on the GB racing covers as I only have them on the right side at the moment as I was unaware they would fit under the plastic cover

Just leave it off,I did. Got some stainless steel bolts from pro bolt to tidy it up and let's you keep bike cleaner as dirt gathers behind the plastic cover. Looks better too IMO.

i kept the sprocket cover on after giving it all a good clean. Just didn't bother fitting the larger plastic cover back on so both sides of bike look the same i.e. You can see the engine casings.
