Well 2014 will be my second year of racing and finally got rid of my orange novice bib. I now hold my Clubman licence. The aim over the next year or so is to get rid of this and get my national licence with the Manx GP being my goal. I have to do 10 races at 3 circuits but finish within 110% of the winners time and on the same lap. If I don't manage this, it isn't the end of the world, I can just carry on racing on my Clubman licence. I race a 2009 R6 which is running a stock engine, but has a all the other bells and whistles. It is a cracking bike to ride, goes well and handles superbly. Here we are in action at Anglesey in the last race of the year, The Anglesey Grand on October 12/13th. Only downside is that not all my race dates have been released as yet, so I will update as I know where I am supposed to be, who I am there with, why I am there and what the hell I am supposed to be doing.
Nice one Dave, will do. I would love to do Cadwell, but I figure that I should stick to circuits I know if I am to stand any fighting chance of getting my national licence. But never say never and all that!
Do you think you will get your national license in time to do the 2014 manx gp? Or is 2015 more likely? Im just trying to sort my ferry tickets out now for next year manx gp. Went last year and loved it so will be trying to go every year
No I would need to have held my national licence for 6 months prior to entering the Manx, so at the very earliest it would be 2015. I just need to ride like hell this year to get my 10 signatures.
Well good luck and hopefully ill be watching you race on the island in 2015. (More than likely in one of the many pubs there )
Will be following these closely rob. Good luck dude Shame we won't get to 'cross swords' next year.... Would like to have a friendly face to show me the ropes
