Did the RH race school today. Brilliant! I did the premier class on the CBR600s. Ended up with 1-1 tuition as the other guy in my group was a bit slow. Scored 92.5% from my instructor! Well pleased with that. Will get a couple of photos up later.
This is on my list as it would be better for me than a track day. are you planning on doing the next level up on the blade now
Definitely Fez! I think its another £100 on top of the premier class. Overall, I think it's good value considering you use their bikes and it includes insurance too.
So if you crash you dont have to pay for it ? Would you say it will make you a better rider on the road or not
I did this at 25 ie 9 years ago made me so much smoother on the rd its untrue!!! Loved it ron cam past me on the in side just after craner curves with a pillion on the back i SHIT MYSELF haha!! Been thinking for a while should i go back and now do the blade premier class Hmmmmm
And no if you crash then you just go home haha Win Win really one reason i will never do a track day on my bike would be gutted if it went down
One of our group did crash! No, you don't pay for it. I think it has improved my riding as regards body position, corner entry and definitely confidence in what a bike can do. All of the bikes, blades and 600s were running batlax BT023 sport touring tyres! Grip was awesome. I went faster round corners than I ever have without incident.
Short clip of me behind the instructor. http://i677.photobucket.com/albums/vv136/stevejbetts/Ron Haslam race school/e6f1ece1.mp4
Brilliant Steve, looks like great fun and you looked super smooth out there. I would love to try it one day.
It was manic, ridiculous lean angles and frikkin awesome Same as you, I was stuck with a slow rider and after the first session I got bumped to another instructor which was 1-1 I'm so glad I got moved. On the second session I lapped the slower guy twice. I didn't get my knee down (I never have), but I did get my toes down at one point which was a ’wtf’ moment Brilliant fun + they've dropped the prices for the last 2 sessions of the year to fill the remaining spaces.
