Been meaning to do this for a while now, but we've just booked in to do the Ron Haslam school on the 21st of August.
Before I spend any more money on the bike, and after seeing how well some of the other riders rode during the Scotland tour myself and Craig decided that our money would be best spent getting some more tuition to get the most from our riding.

Anyone else done this coarse? Anyone else goin?

If you are mate book into the afternoon session. We were originally booked in to the morning sesh but decided to change to spread the day out a bit more.

We'll be staying over nearby a day before and after if you fancy a bleather.

It starts at 11.45. It is the 600's, as I'm sure you need to do this first before moving onto the blades.

Booked and paid for, cover booked for my post office too, so can't change it really. I have done 600s already, so will be on a fireblade.
I think there are a few slots per day. I chose the middle one so I wouldn't have to be off at the crack of dawn.

Not too fussed about the blades to be honest as they are only black ones ;)

Of course they are black, they use the fastest and safest colour. More acceleration, better cornering speed, wheelie control, it is possible to lean them over more than a Repsol obviously. You don't need sunglasses whilst riding them.;)
I only chose the blades because I wanted to ride the same bike I ride on the road, hopefully it'll feel familiar straight away.

I've done the race school twice this year - first on the 600's then onto the 1000's last month. It's a brilliant course and both times I had the opportunity to chat to Ron Haslam!

Definitely the best way to gain confidence on a bike in a really well controlled environment. The instructors are great too.

Here's a shot of me enjoying myself far too much!
