Have his lap times decreased since he was so dominant, or have the others who are beating him now gotten faster? I did try Google, but nothing helpful came up.
Think you'll find they have prob got quicker. He changed his style a couple years back and got back in the hunt.... His times are there or there abouts but I'd say the other two jl and mm are just a bit quicker when it comes together these days. And dani is back on form too.... During his dominance he only ever had one real threat at a time, now it seems he can have three sometimes four if the duke crashes the party, riders to compete with which makes it great racing. Although I did enjoy the 1 on 1 battled of years gone by..... I think it's his race craft and tyre preservation that keeps VR in touching distance of the others now. If anything I think his leg break and Marco soon after, took a little bit of edge off him....
