Well after resisting pinning the throttle on the new bike and hoping that running it in as Honda suggests, will pay dividends in the long term, I've now successfully done the painful 600 running in miles at 6k rpm and today Chichester Honda completed it's first service. Now at last, I can start to open it up. I just wish they wouldn't stick so much chain lube on, after a twenty mile ride home I found my rear wheel totally covered in the stuff, or they should at least use something that doesn't throw its self off so easily. Well, after spending what seemed like ages cleaning off the rear wheel and trying to get some of the access lube of the chain, she's ready for a weekend run.
Planning on a run out tomorrow (Saturday) : Loomis (10:30), then on to Bury Hill, then where ever......................... Will be out Sunday as well if the weathers dry. Good to catch up again.
Jim, for that exact reason I tell them not to lube the chain on a service!! I got sick of having to spend time cleaning my back wheel, chain and rear sprocket once I got it home.
Had a great ride out yesterday (Saturday) with my buddy's Martin (Blade) and Darren (R1)........ Oh it was so nice to open it up. For those southerners who know the biker runs, we started off at Loomi's, then on the Burry Hill, then over to Brighton and returned to Burry Hill where we went on our own way. Great Weather, Great Ride.
