Even with safety specs on (the "fashionable" style)...

I ended up in Royal Berkshire A&E having a piece of metal removed (literally dug out) from my eye after it came off an angle grinder I was using and made it round the safety specs I was wearing.

... but in true rock and roll style I went to a ball with the metal in my eye blaming the redness on hayfever. Ooops!!

    Be careful with power tools!!

Have had exactly the same happen a couple of times, wearing safety glasses first time and head visor on second occasion. Unfortunately a occupational hazard, not to mention the paper work afterwards for H&S.

Ouch, but how did this end up in the mods, upgrades section?Bit extreme for a mod I'd say,10 out of 10 for 'maning up',I would have cried and then gone to bed.

Yep been there too, not metal in it but managed to scratch my eye, whilst grinding, didn't feel too bad at first but got worse when could hardly keep my eye open!

    - I was using an angle grinder... to cut up sections of chassis box section (on my VW split). That's a modification, right? :p ... I rode the blade to the workshop... counts. Ish.

Guess I felt it was an "eye opener" to how easily you can almost blind yourself... :(
