Just a few pics from my Little trip north of the boarder. Loved every second of it, Weather was perfect and so was the Blade, Met some really nice people. I cant believe how good the roads are up there, Condition wise too, Hardly a pothole to be seen. Not much of a police presence. Loch Lomand Green Welly On the way to Applecross Applecoss pass Eilean Donan Castle Panoramic.
I fancy a trip to Scotland again soon. Does anyone know when the Midges arrive and leave on the East coast? I've seen vids of those buggers and I don't want to time ti when they are about!
I was warned about the midges being about but didn't see any. I slept with window of my room open all night without any bother.
This was my base for the few days i was up.. Glentower | Fort William's Glentower Bed and Breakfast I hope you have the weather i did
Glad you enjoyed our wee country. Last week was stunning weather wise, unfortunately for me I only got to see others out and about as I was working away.
I had the rucksack for my camera mainly, and a few bits and bobs, for my change of clothing I took an Kriega us 30.. I like to keep my valubles with me, so no worries when leaving the bike for whatever reason.
There's also the other cure for the midge. 1 of the best I've ever come across is in a bottle of 'man the fuck up'. Comes in various sizes
There are generally good roads once you leave the cities. Police tend to be in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs areas so always be on yer guard, more at the weekend when everyone is out. We have a few under cover bikes, Black ZZR and Green ZX10 tourer, As for the midges no matter what any1 says they are a pain, can bear the wee peskie hits. Jim
The slightest breeze will keep them away, Avon Skin So Soft moisturiser will also work, but the bottom line is if they like you, they will let you know. Keep moving helps. Thankfully they are not so keen on me,
