I think Benn was on the right line for size when he had an interest in the ZZR1400 now thats a mans bike.
to be fair, i think this applies to anybody unless your riding at shanes level (which you may be so dont be offended) a good rider on an R6 could still blow you away even if your riding an s1000rr or Zx10r. I know cos i made mincemeat of a bloke of his s1000rr at donny on my old R1 4xv and im hardly good if im honest. Ive also had R6's blow past me on the Blade on track too, its horses for courses, no amount of BHP can make up for skill, corner speed etc Im guessing sepang has quite a few talented guys knocking around that track, ex racers, current racers and i doubt shanes is dropping in to a novice group
Great vid Shane, watched it a few times. Now I know why I wait to let you animals go out first and I hang back taking the pickings of the dregs. Those MSS boys are fast though and have ridden and raced Sepang for many years. Looking forward to seeing that new 1000RR in May
cheers guys , it was a lot of fun and as Rich said there are some quick boys out there , you have to give it to the RC8R as it can run the corner speed like a 600 but i do have to break a little earlier due to the weight , you see one R6 shoot past me on the brakes going into turn 4 but he out broke himself 4 laps in a row and i just turned back inside him as i can run right to the apex on the brakes . you better head out at the front next time Rich you get to play a lot , loads of passing and sticking it in there
