I read somewhere online (unfortunately can't remember where) that Shoei were working on a transitional visor for the NXR/RF-1200 line of helmets. I've had a look on the usual suspects such as RaceVisors and can't find them.

I don't suppose anyone else has heard of this/has any more information? I need to replace my current Shoei and would prefer an NXR over a GT-Air, if I can get a transitional visor.

    Ta,

    Soss

It's probably the pinlock that will be transitional/ photo chromatic

Have had similar fog city inserts in the past that change colour according to how much sun light is shining

Bet the visor is later on, or prob available in America. Seen a discussion on a forum mentioning 150$ , mega bucks

I'll just stick with the dark race visor, looks the dogs. Not had any problems with it and if I'm gunna be out late I take the clear one with me in a visor bag , round my waist. Hardly know it's there

Cheers Stevie_d - that item from STG looks like it, but I had no idea it would be so expensive. Maybe like all new technology, once it starts to become more mainstream, the price might drop....

I need to have a think and see if a Shoei GT-Air would suit me better - it's just I'd prefer the NXR I think.
