Fitted for less than 100 miles before bike was returned to standard and sold.

    Basically new!

Possibly theee best mod for an 04>07 blade.

Comes with box, accessories and instructional CD.

    Bought for £696 from Sigma.

    £450 delivered.

I'd try advertising it on the TDR forum as it's more useful to track day riders.

For one who still hasn't morphed into the modern era, what is the benefit of these? (I think the SP2 has one)

All 08> blades come with them as standard although the Honda ones aren’t of the same quality as Sigma which is why a lot of 08> riders upgrade.

In layman’s terms, if you are aggressively downshifting say, into a hairpin turn for example and you release the clutch when the engine RPM is much greater than the wheel speed, the slipper clutch doesn’t immediately engage.

The excessive amount of back torque causes the clutch to momentarily disengage (slip) on downshift which protects your engine & transmission, protects the rider from losing traction and makes for a very smooth riding experience.

I’ve found them beneficial on both road and track.

Right, cheers. That's why I haven't felt it, because I'm not aggressive on high rev down shifts.

I know exactly what you mean though, because the C90 locks when dropping from 3rd to 2nd. Unequal analogy, but I get the gist!

    Yeah what he said.
My track bike has one fitted. I can bang it down the gears towards the end of the straights without locking up the rear, so it helps with braking.

The Sigma is a full fat slipper clutch, rather than a cut back version that comes as standard on some bikes. It's a bit like how some bikes come with Brembo brakes, Ohlins suspension or a steering damper, but track focussed ones are better.

I assume the 04-07 cluctch is slighty different to the 08-11 and this won't fit a 08-11 blade?
