Hope you guys can help me on this one it's not Honda or CBR related but i could really need some help, i appear to have knackered the engine on my KTM 625, no compression, black oil with bits of metal tells me it's gone had a quote from a local Dealership who want £750 just to drop the engine and strip it thats before parts Can anyone rcommend a TRUSTWORTHY decent mechanic in the Somerset area that has decent rates and isn't going to take the mickey ? Been told it would work out cheaper to look on ebay for a replacement engine but how do you know what your getting ? would it not be better and cheaper to strip and rebuild the original any help/advice much appreciated, was going to look at a 950sm on Thursday as well mine was going to be taken in PX
A friend had a LOT of work done by Clevedon Motorcycles, and rated them very highly. I used them once and they forgot to tighten the fork pinch bolts... maybe it's time I forgave and gave them another chance. Anyway, my friend thought they were very good, and reasonably priced too!
was looking at Somerton Jamie, then a guy in work suggested AFB in Bridgwater I was a bit apprehensive tbh as this place deals in customs, Harleys etc etc.. and there's always some rough,tough looking bikers kicking about, needs must so went into see Andy the proprietor, found him to be extremely helpful, knowledgeable and polite much more than can be said for the likes of Riders, Fowlers etc, whats more his labour rates don't make you feel like you've had your pants pulled down. So lesson learned ..AGAIN.. never judge a book by it's cover..AFB gets a thumbs up from me
AS gappy said about Clevedon Motorcycles my mate owns the place now. I've not personally used him but if you do say you know me and you may get mates rates. Just hope you get better service than Gappy
