Hi All! My Name is Matt, I have been riding for 5 years roughly, been on CBT for 4 years but ridden every single day. Started on a CBR125, great bike but was definitely too small, moved on to more racey 125's, Cagiva Mito, Aprilia RS125, and ended up back on a Honda, NSR 125 this time. I de restricted and tuned all of my 125's and continue to work on my own machines. Passed my test around 6 months ago, had a Bandit mk1 600 for 3 weeks and decided it again was too small, so I bought the ultimate bike in my opinion, my gorgeous 05 CBR100 RR Fireblade I love meeting up and riding with others so if anyone is in my area, make sure to drop me a line. \m/ \m/
Welcome Matt, you've stumbled across the most entertaining forum that ever existed. Coming from those 125's to a 600 is good sound advice. Just take it easy on that blade cos they can bite and need to be ridden with respect. This time of year your blade will spin its rear wheels even on a cold dry day. Enjoy its a fab bike to have
Hey Sideways!! Thank's for the advice! I have been on it everyday since I bought it in September, and I have never respected a machine so much in my life! I prefer to be on something that has way more capability than I can handle, as it keeps me humble to it, if that makes sense. The bandit 600 just got comfortable wayyy to quick, and I found myself pushing it and pushing it, but with the blade, it is definitely teaching me rather than me pushing it. I LOVE the pure power and I LOVE the fact that it scares me My aim is to learn advanced skills and I think the best way to do it is to ride the best bike I love it! I honestly think I will have it forever.... or at least until I can afford the RC213V-S
nice bike, liking those exhausts ,i use an 04 on the track, love it. get yourself on some trackdays next year, only way to 'really' enjoy a blade.
