I hope not. The combination of those roads and that noise cheered me up no end when I got in from an over long parish council social event last night. I, for one, am looking forward to more footage of your monster bellowing around Scotland.:D

Ive recently purchased a Drift HD Ghost and made a couple of vids but am very nervous about sharing them because I do ride like a twat.

    Colin, found the link ;)

Great vid mate, and loving the sp! What a machine, sounds awesome.

As for the overtake, can't beleive anyone would complain about that, could see right through and was clear as day. Well executed safe pass IMO :)

Yes yes... White lines, but they are designed for 4 wheel cages with poor visibilty, no acceleration 4 wheel cages! I know it's not legal, but on a bike there are loads of times you could overtake safely on white lines.

I don't do it though, obviously, because its illegal and wrong.

Ps - cant beleive you ride in all the traffic, no wonder you overtake like a loon ;) lol

I'll re-edit the video tonight taking out a few bits and re-post.

Does anyone know how to reduce wind noise on the GoPro?

Think you can get 2 backs for it mate??

Do you have the 3? Wind noise is far better on that tbh

It is the 3 I've got and it's the sealed case that was on.
It's probably because it was on my lid and high up, as it's not as bad when on the nose cone of the blade.

Guessing so then mate, maybe you can adjust the settings?

The 3 is noticeable quieter from what I've seen, but come to think of it, not seen and head footage, so maybe that's why?

Hello Colin - I know I messaged you about the overtake - I did a similar one on the same bit of road, its just having it 'in public' so to speak I would be cautious of - overtake 100% safe as Jimbo says its just paint for cars / vans / trucks really as view was vast for a bike.

Re the noise if you have the sealed case in use then I would drop the volume level in your editing software - not sure how that is done on imovie but there must be a way.

As everyone knows I overlay music tracks and getting balance of music / bike noise a real challenge - that soundtrack of the SP1 is way better than the Blade so maybe it does not need any tunes over the top!

Sorry al, thought someone had emailed about it being out of order. Not - not safe for public viewing as incriminating - wrong end of stick I think.

    Apologies

We could do with our own 'specialised' pin protected cinema. Not so much an 'adults only' one, more an 'adolescents only' one.

    I'd never leave...:D

The best thing about this road is that you could miss it in a blink of an eye if planning a route in Scotland / the Borders etc. yet its an absolute stunning bit of tarmac and now in great condition.

I'd love to take the R1 for a blat along there as its flowing enough to really get it going, unlike tight twisty stuff where I fear it will have me in a bush which is where Blade is a better road bike

    Exactly Al

There are a few hidden gems up here mate. The best 1 I can think of is the Carronbridge road from Moffat (Dalveen Pass) leading onto the main route towards Ayr. I've seen myself riding that both ways as its that good.
