    Just for reference, why didn't it fit as I have a 09 and be nice to know.

    The 2010 stator is slightly bigger, the outer circumference may foul the flywheel.
    Also the PCD of the stator mounting holes are different from those on the inside of the stator cover.

    I should have check the honda parts fiche first. As I said the stator for the 2009 ABS CBR1000rr only fits that specific model.
    Honda part is £306 and on back order till the end of the month. The other option is to have it rewound for £150 ish
