Hey @nigelrb I found this and thought it could be useful for you? https://jutersday.myshopify.com/products/best-motorcycle-storage-shed-bikebox24
Haha bet the neighbours wouldn't be very happy either seeing a portable toilet in your back garden from their bedroom windows.
Nigel, is that really electrical cable running along the fence...and straddling the gate. I can’t believe it from you???
Yes, but I lift it when I open the gate. Why, do you think I should use black so it's not so obvious?
Oh my Nige!!! So much contravention and flouting of regulation and Safety. You should do it right with proper steel armoured underground cable with RCD and a MCB’s in the new large shed. Electricity should be given proper respect mate
Maybe fit a smoke alarm on the gate so that if the worst does happen we can all nip down and move his charred remains out of the way.....don't want them getting on the tyres as we wheel his collection to safety
Concrete is really simple to work with. As long as you get the shuttering right you cant go too far wrong (oh and get some pipe in ahead of time to run the services through. Let me have a hunt for some pics on my own shed that I did a couple of Summers ago. Used up a stupid corner of the garden so made it to fit the geometry of the space.... I don’t have any pics of the electrics but will take one when i get back home later....
There you go Nigel...meets legislation even though it is a shed. Before you say it I didn’t have any proper black fixings for the armoured cable so just used white ones I had laying around
Hahahahaha, there taking too long rebuilding the wall They are a genius design (courtesy of google), let in loads of light and burglar proof for all but the skinniest of robbers. Granted nothing is totally secure and if someone really wanted to nick my spare garden hose then they will find a way to get in...but like the carving I did on the door, I think they look cool
Word of warning - and I am sure you guys already know this - but be careful of chemical burns when working with wet cement and concrete. In case people do not know - and learning of it came as a shock to me - wet cement can cause chemical burns to the skin due to its high alkaline content. I never knew that. But look it up - alkaline burns to the skin associated with working with wet cement/concrete.
