New job means I have to pack away the pushbike and commute to work daily, this will involve 15 miles of motorway about 20 miles of speed restricted A roads and 5 miles of dirty old B roads, i'll be riding in all weathers and all times of the year, I don't want to trash the Blade so I'm looking for something that'll be fun when you twist your right hand, but is going to be a practical, comfortable commuter, price range between 2k - 5k I've had a CBR 600F in the past which I loved but I'm leaning more towards a bike with a more upright seating position, a Multistrada would be nice but maybe out of my price range. Suggestions Please
CBR1000RR I used to own a BMW GS 650F Dakar many years ago. Comfortable upright riding position. Ok motorway performance with cruising at 70mph .Easy to manage tight gaps and filtering in heavy traffic. This bike possibley ticks all your requirements very well. Worth a looking, and its in your price range
have a look at the yamaha's, new mt700, new for your money and written to be a brilliant twin. No weather protection though. My best bike for this is my Fazer thou gen 2
Had a Bmw f650gs was good for commuting if a little bit underpowered I'd have a look at the Honda nc700 and nc750 good economy and upright position
