So i began my rebuild on crashed cbr1000rr... As im newbie at all this so i need some suggestions and help. So the problem i encountered is i cant get the ignition off as i need to send it to locksmith to get the new key done. So as i looked whats need unbolted i discovered both nuts that hold ignition is rounded off . Would it be possible to take yoke off and it will come off with all lock? . Im on limited tools.
Get a dremmel and cut a notch in the bolt head so you can use a large flat screwdriver to undo them. If you don't have a dremmel then get or borrow one as they are a god send.
Do i need todo fuel flush as bike has been standing for 3ish years not being used or i shudnt be fussed about it. Thanks for help in advance!
Flush the old fuel out, it’s well passed its best. You may get lucky but expect issues with gummed up injectors...my old gixxer was sat for a few years and I had to get the injectors removed and cleaned as well as flushing out the tank
Be worth taking the top yoke off anyway so you aren't working at getting those bolts out whilst upside down.
