OK guys bit of a bombshell.

After much thought, I have decided that it is time for me to say goodbye to my much loved SP1.

Reason being is that I just haven't ridden the bike much since buying it, and its not what I bought the bike for. 500 miles in 3 years makes it an ornament, and I hate to see a bike like this just sitting there. Even though I know I'm going to regret it, and have been told so by many including my father.

As many on here will know I have loved and cherished this bike, and when I say it needs for nothing I honestly can say that is the case. Almost every wear part has been replaced and where possible upgraded. Just check out my SP1 Project thread.

    Some pics of the bike.

I have spent a small fortune getting the bike to where it now stands.

Price wise I've had a look and it seems that these are only on the up so I am going to ask for £5,200 ono.

Anyone serious about buying the bike should pm me, and I will supply the full list of work that has been done, and upgrades.

    Thanks
    Colin

Just hoping someone on here will have it mate, as it has history here.

If not I may end up stripping it down, and selling it on that way. Can't be arsed with Ebay and the likes.

    Colin,

Been there done that and still feel the pain!
As you say " the bike became an ornament " I did about 8 miles on my SP1 one year :( I blame being a blade owner as part of the problem :)

Sold mine to a forum member who makes me suffer every now and then :(

I know how you feel Bryan, and I know for a fact I'll regret it. Even just seeing it in the pictures above makes me think twice.

Good luck with the Sale Colin, looks a good one :) Quite tempted to buy an SP1 myself but like you, not sure I would get much use out of it.

Have you still got the RB320?

    Hi Ian

Yes I still have the RB320 mate. Possibly going to sell that also as I'm driving my van everywhere now. Noticing a big difference in MPG doesn't help :)

Nice bike pal and a shame to see it go off the forum, it's been a personal favourite since I joined.....sad times :(

I've got about £9500 if either of you want to sell the RB320's though ;), please:D.

Add another £3k to your offer and you may be able to find 1.
You need to remember there was only ever 320 of these made world wide back in 2007. You'd be lucky if there is 50 of these in the UK now.

I was hoping to be doing a few miles up your way this year Colin, especially meeting for a photo shoot with the SP's together.
A bit gutted to read your thinking of selling her on mate but...
If, & I hope the only reason for your selling is the lack of riding time, I'd certainly have a rethink on keeping her just for the ornament status alone.
Yeah SP's can be picked up if you ever changed your mind, but you ain't going to get one that sorted again. 'Well not without a lot more work and expense'

Build a pedestal and put it in the lounge mate, and enjoy it even if for now it's just her stunning looks alone.

You know it makes sense ;)
