I know, the 2018 TT has not even started yet. But it seems the tickets for the Steam Packet Ferry have gone on sale for 2019 - I know 'cause I just booked it ! Unbelievable how early you have to get in if you want ferry tickets to take the bike. So apologies for talking 2019 before 2018 has even started.
I noticed that the other day, I really have to bite the bullet so to speak and make the time to get over there.
It takes a bit of forward planning if you want to take the bike. Ferry tickets and accommodation seem to sell out - recommend Homestays It is worth the effort I reckon.
Yep we are booked up for 6 days, and staying at Sarah's Cottage. Both blades will be there next year.
Wonder if anyone is going to be racing the new Ducati V4 at the TT next year. I think they have made a 1,000cc version of the V4, for BSB, so maybe it will make an appearance at the TT as well. Could be a great battle - the new BMW S1000RR, the Panigale V4 - and a new Fireblade Maybe Michael Dunlop on a Ducati - how cool would that be. Ducati should get round to his house and sign him up quick !
I did read (but can't recall where) That the Paul Bird team (PBM) might consider it depending on the McGuinness/Jessop Macau result.
Thanks for that - had a quick google and found that Brookes has just joined them on the Ducati :https://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesoci...s/2018/october/josh-brookes-to-ducati-in-2019 It doesn't mention the TT but, as we know, Josh Brookes has form around the TT on the Norton. Maybe Josh Brookes on the Ducati at the TT (if he has time !)
A few pictures from the 2019 TT Sent my tent in the post to Silly Moos, but it did not arrive in time - so had to buy an emergency tent until mine arrived - £49 - my fault for leaving it too late. Michael Dunlop on the new BMW leaving the pits - Superbike race Michael Rutter - Superstock race Not a good TT for John McGuinness here retiring at the Bungalow Me, at Windy Corner ! Some scenery, Port Erin
