Has anyone carried out a full vinyl wrap of their bike themselves?

I'm contemplating giving it a go on my R6 race bike as I can buy enough vinyl to wrap the fairings in plain red for around £20.

To paint it with rattle cans would cost about £50 in primer, paint & lacquer.

I've got two sets to have ready for 19th March.

I've done bits, but not a whole fairing. TBH it's one of those things that you really need to practice and even then I'd do it in sections where they join somewhere.

Here are a few of my examples:-
Exhaust cover on the road bike.

Side exhaust cover and rear hugger.

    Infill.

Chain covers and rear hugger again.

Nose section and number board on the track fairing I got off you.

Not sure you would get enough wrap for that price Andy, If you do manage it I would question the quality. I know it's only going on the track bike but cheaper wrap can tear on corners, not stick properly, bubble more, ware quicker etc

Hmmm, Might still be getting the rattle cans out. Did my fibreglass filling this afternoon so going to sand them smooth and prime them tomorrow.

Tried it not worth the hassle on a front or seat unit
