Hi all, Yet another radiator has bitten the dust....... Looking for a rad for my RR6, so an RR7 would fit as well. So if anyone has one or knows someone reliable who has one for sale please give me a pm. Thanks Nigel
Sprung a big leak. So I put on the professionally repaired one and................even bigger leak ! Sunny day and no bike to ride , not best pleased. The radiator hunt is on again.
Exfire m8, just had a word with my m8 who dabbles in "Everything Metal" and he's got a good selection.He's sent me a photo of one he thinks is the best of the bunch.
Well......................I thought it was funny! Did you have a "Rad Guard" fitted?.. With the roads we ride it might be worth fitting a Fender extension, once fitted you can hardly see it.
Very good Haggler, I think the white one might fit best, at least it should'nt overheat. Yep I have a rad guard fitted. The hole is on the underside of the front nearside on an area not covered by the guard, sods law. Our roads are pretty grim, just paid out for the suspension at MCT as well, new internals set up for fast bumpy road riding.
Think the Fireblade rads are fragile , I removed my 06 blade rad at Xmas it was a bit corroded an had flaking paint . Cleaned an repainted and new silicone hoses fitted now . Rad guard is a must .
The Chinese rads no good then , Seen Chinese rads on eBay for £199 .Have a few friends who have had problems with 06/07 rads . I clean an check mine every year now .
The chinese one I brought, via USA, was a bit short so I had to make up a bracket to fit the lower fixing. It lasted 6 months before it started to leak, there again it did cost less than £200. I think I got what I deserved lol.
