i guess by now, everyone has heard about the Welsh road racing even due to take place next year, August 4th &5th, what's everyone says thoughts? Is it really going to happen? Are the dates too close to the Ulster GP? Will the top teams be there or are they more liable to go to the Ulster?

I hope it does take off, and some of the big roads stars attend, just to give it a boost to get going. at least you dont have to pay steam packet a fortune to get there.....
I have sent my registration off as a competitor for it. It does clash with the Ulster GP which is a shame, as that is my favourite road race bar none, however, this coming year they are making big changes to the Ulster and as such I think it will lose a lot of riders. I was in two minds about doing it this coming year, but then this came up and that made my mind up for me. Should be good, looks challenging but quick in places too. I am just relieved that a new event like this is encouraged.
Just seen the Plater video, looks fast flowing and fairly shit hot. Thinking practice laps will be key to this place...can imagine a few summer laps for some pre-practice practice! What's it like for getting to different vantage points, can they be accessed after roads close or is it a case of get there early, tuck your bike out of the way and camp out for the day?
Looks good for riders and spectators. I for one will be going if it's confirmed.......now, where can I put my tent on a blade...and where's the nearest pub ?
As I'm in West Midlands, it's a short hop for me. I'd certainly go as a spectator. Not sure about sharing Frankblue's tent though!!
Looking forward to this. Booked in nearby village pub for the Friday and Saturday night along with 5 mates riding down from NW.
Maybe the IOM police can pop over & give them a talk on proportionality & customer service....although to be fair I don't think it's the lads on the ground I think it's the Chief cockwomble in charge with the bee in his bonnet over bikers!
totally agree lozzy . Every cop in the uk should be sent to the i.o.m for training by their coppers in sensible policing.
