Drives like a car. 54 reg so not expecting 650 miles to a tank unfortunately but does 450. Build quality is very good to b fair although u have to look out for rust on older ones. I sleep in mine at race weekends. Double blow up bed fits in. Goin to reboard it all soon and carpet it and insulate it. Hope to put some spare wheel brackets somewhere too.
Recommend one as they are cheaper than the vw's

A short wheelbase Vauxhall Vivaro, Renault Traffic or Nissan Primastar are all the same Van bar badging (joint Euro Van venture) and are all the same size as a Merc Vito or VW Transporter.

A lot cheaper to buy and run also! ;)

Thinking of getting a Vito 116 sport to replace my x5 as my new German Shepard at 40kgs is getting a bit big to lift in the back. My friends have the vws Kombi but I need something that will be more car like and not tradesman like(not there there is anything wrong with being a tradesman!! ;)) for the wife. Any problems of getting fireblade in the rear of the compact Vito, mirrors off I guess, for the odd track day. Happy New Year.

I would also like to know if I could get my Fireblade in the back of SWB Vito but I doubt I would be able to afford the 116 Sport although every time I look at it I think I wish I had the money.
Would be good to know if anyone has a compact Vito as I think it is too short.

Just buy yourself a Volkswagen and fit two bikes in without even trying! People have a mis-conception of Merc vans, they place them in the same high regard as Merc cars and they're anything but! They're just vans and if you take a look at overall van reviews they score a measly 2 out of 5!

Yep! Totally agree with you, they're cheap, very cheap, cheap interior, cheap electronics, cheap bodywork, in fact they're so cheap that's why I didn't buy one! :D

Colin, I think that Ford have finally realised there's a market out there for pimping your van and they want some of it! At the moment Volkswagen seem to have it cornered!
