I bought a GoPro 4 Silver last week and it seems brilliant so far, if you get the right SD card and HDMI cable the 4K is very good.

GoPro 4 Black here, few spare cards and batteries and you're sorted. Video quality excellent and no shortage of mounting options and accessories for on and off the bike.

I've just been looking at that too, Looks a decent bit of kit at a good price, but think it's aimed more at the Skiing lot, it has loads of sensors but not a lean angle sensor so doesn't really lend itself to motorsport. The Garmin Virb X & XE are more towards motorbikes as it has lean angle and it can talk to a Bluetoth OBD2 port getting Throttle position. Gear number etc.
With the TomTom being white it makes it more visable to the Old Bill as well so no chance of hiding it if they think you been bad!

SImples, if you intend breaking the law, don't put a camera anywhere near your bikes, great for the track, great for legal riding and someone else doing wrong to you, proper crap if you break any laws as you might just as well go hand yourself in with a written confession.

Sorry, but that's the way it is these days :oops::(

I've made my mind up going for this
With our 4GEE Action Cam you can share your latest adventure straight away, so that everyone can feel part of the action.

Stream the action as it happens over 4G from your camera straight to skeegle, the new video sharing app where you can invite all your friends and family to watch at the same time. To use skeegle, you'll need a Facebook account and UK mobile phone number.

Got a Garmin Virb Elite last year in the Amazon sale, £124, does everything the go pro's do and more. Decent battery life, take one of those battery banks about the size of pack of cards, will charge it up during the day if on a long trip. Record in 1080 60fps I think, but the quality is good, 64 card holds loads of filming. When I edited it it came down to 30fps using Nero, still need to work that one out
Attached it with a RAM mount off the NS wing mirror, little bit of vibration which got worse the faster I went
First time I have used the camera on bike, got some tweaking to do and to sort out the vibration.

Here is a clip from last year in Germany. Watching it on a PC the quality is superb
