I guess not many reply to their own messages, but job done this morning. Grabbed 'Levin's' advice and took my time. Bit fiddly cos I already had the tail tidy when purchased. Maxed out at 3 hours, but no bits left over and all stayed together when I took it out before the damn rain!

So, I saved about 350 grams. Now to lose 5 kilos off each butt cheek and I'll really get movin'.

Yeah, Simon, I guess many of us wonder. Some guys have done it in two hours, but the whole rear end has to be pulled apart. And then we face the surprise of a fixing screw UNDERNEATH the fuse box! You can be sure they'll be given to a dealer in a box when I decide to upgrade!!

Was looking at a CBR 500 today. 2 Allen screws each side and the job's done.

New pads arrived. Going to take the calipers off and give them a proper clean and pop the pistons out and inspect the seals etc. All in good time for the better/warmer weather next Julember :-0

Hooked up another charger thanks to Keithg.
Now I don't need to keep swapping one charger between both bikes :)

Just fitted my Bad Dog levers.

Can't check them out though, our roads are wet!!:(:(

Can't figure why the clutch lever has a bush for the pivot pin but the brake doesn't, whereas the OEMs do. Obviously one of the concessions for going 'el cheapo'. I'd be guessing ASVs have bushes in both levers!!

    What did I do?

I actually rode it. Well, sort of. Not enough time on it so I embarrassed myself by stuffing up some corners. Not that I play 'hero' or anything like that; it's just entering a learning curve all over again after pulling my bike out from under the cover.:(:(
