Yep, they just wind up so easily. A non-biking person would actually question why bikes are made so quick and fast. When I think back to my CB750 K1 days (1971) I thought they were quick (about 67 bhp I think). Now, it's just wind it up and hang on!

Just got out of the garage, took the rear tire off. Time for a new one. I picked up a fairly large nail on a 2 month old tire. I don't trust plugging it due to the kind of riding I do. However, I must say, the emergency tire repair kit I picked up worked wonders. It has a C02 inflation device, tire plugs and the reaming & plug insertion tools. Made it so I could get the Repsol home. The kit was $20 at the auto parts store and fits in the trunk of the bike.

    Very handy.

I've had a lot of experience with 'reaming and plug insertion tools' although quite possibly not of the same brand as yours.

Was fed up with Honda’s nasty ass chain lube clattering my bike every time I took it out so decided to clean it and try that new banana slip chain lube to see if it’s any better.

Have to say it took an age, tried one of those chain cleaner brushes that wrap around the chain, what a waste of money.

Destroyed a good wash mit and used half a can of banana slip chain cleaner but it did bring it up like new so happy enough.

I removed the 12v DC outlet and replaced it with a dual USB socket. Now I can easily charge my phone on longer ride outs.

A light smattering of road dirt I picked up after fitting new sprockets :(
I'm trying to get Nigel to show me how to clean a bike.

Nothing with the bike today, but ordered a pair of Alpinestars SMX Plus Gore-Tex boots from Demon Tweeks.
Got an expected delivery time of 14 days, but got them for £235!!

First time I've had this out in ages. Desperate for a new set of tyres but just moved house and ploughing all my funds into that :( can't believe I've missed the best summer we've had.

Loving the removed sprocket cover look after that abomination of a carbon one I received.

Sounds like a great deal! I tend to hang out until November for the NEC show. Always find good deals when I thrust a wad of cash in front of sales staff.:) Got RST jacket, AGV helmet and ABBA superbike stand last year. Could be another helmet, gloves, and a front-lift stand this year.

Might also consider a 'Pedrosa' jacket for old times' sake!!:D (Obviously no concern about it holding any value)

By the way you're racking up miles, you'll have stuffed them by mid-Sept anyway, won't you? :)

Your not wrong on 800 now so you could be right I saw neeves report on his long term v4s he said he got a track day and 3k miles out of a rear so we'll see ....but I do know not enjoyable in the damp or single digit temp...

Went out for a blast down a motorway to see what the bike is like on that sort of road, then back home via some much nicer roads. Then missus got on the back as she had not pillioned on this bike, and headed to the Woods for a brew.

Managed to really upset some woman who was of the opinion that bikes shouldn't filter, as if she had to sit in traffic then obviously so should everyone else. Was quite funny when she forced her way in front and then tried blocking me. She didn't seem to realise I would just go past her on the other side of the road as one car can't block the whole road :D Luckily for her the Wife was on the back and I couldn't get off the bike and educate her.
