Don’t know what the manual says about measuring/adjusting chain for the blade?

I know my GSXR manual states to measure and adjust on the side stand.

How long did it take you to take apart all the fairings and headlights? Just trying to compare to the 08-11 version.

Sometimes goes faster sometimes slower...I've done it a lot of times so for me it is maybe easier.

yeah, maybe. I've done it to mine 3 or 4 times over the years... I always fear breaking something, which I did last time, breaking a tab on the right side fairing... had to buy a new one, since the right fairing would not lock to the belly pan... :(

That's some serious preparation you're doing there. I look forward to following your project.

It would be wise, and benefit other members, if you started a specific thread for it, such as 2015 (or whatever) Track Preparation.

Agree. My fear also. There is a real art in fitting the belly pan (not that I've mastered it:rolleyes:) because we have to be slightly heavy-handed to squeeze in the final 2 tabs. I have some very strong glues and bonds, but I am sure that none is strong enough to support the pressure and vibration on those tabs. @PauloHRC did offer a good remedy though; drill through and fit one of the black 'push pins'. I am sure it would actually make it more secure and also simpler to ultimately remove.

I now have a better understanding in how to do it safely... too bad it took a broken tab for me to learn

Yup, I had that done in mine... Altought it was still quite hard to fix everything together the way I did it, but after it was done, it would STAY fixed:

Now, with the new fairing, I don't use that "feature", but still have the holes in the belly pan, so I can go back to that solution if needed.

Whooaaa:). I'm looking at that SUPER BLING (sorry @Lozzy:p) carbon tank inserts and under seat fillers (formerly plastic).

I just HAVE to have them. Currently doing some serious Googling. Are yours from Spain/Portugal or Europe?

What do you mean? Portugal and Spain are in Europe! :p

I bought them off eBay. The fitting isn't perfect. Looking from a low angle, you can see the insert tabs in the middle... :(
It's fixable, but it's good enough for me in the current state.

The under seat fillers... are just the stock ones wrapped in good looking vinyl

Yep, fair enough. I was thinking from a postage point of view as in close proximity as opposed to Germany etc.

I've seen a few on ebay; some from China and some nearly double the price from UK (though not necessarily made here!) I can compromise on fit, but thanks for the tip off!;)

Nigel, if you buy them and they will be installed perfectly - let me know what and from whom you bought!
I also looked at them for a long time - but I want to have a perfect fit.
