    hi,
Just testing the water, would anyone be interested in my genuine white fairings off my 2008 cbr?

Few little chips and scratches but overall great condition.

No infill plastics just main fairings without rubbers or clips etc but could use originals if hust swapping colours on your bike.

No tank badges as used these on my new set.
    Tank grips on tank.
    Black screen can be included.

Would be looking at approx £500-£600

    Thanks

Frig me Chuk, that water's friggin' boiling!!

I hate to say this but I think you might be way off the mark. I can't imagine anyone'll pay that because of the availability of Chinese for about half the price. I know the OEMs are a far superior product but unless someone is doing crash repair to a similar coloured bike I can't imagine you'll have any takers. The purchaser will also have to shell out £70.00 for tank badges.

I contribute this because I'm in a similar position in that I have a complete set of 2011 HRC fairings taken off in lieu of Chinese Castrols. I haven't advertised mine, but if I did so I would put up at £300.00. Even then I could be struggling given the front of fairing stone chips.

I have a brand new OEM set of aprilia RS50 fairings with a total retail price of £1200.00. Had them on eBay for £700 and no interest. Put them up to auction with a £500 reserve and it reached only £240.00.

I think you might be better off keeping them aside and including when you offer the bike for sale to maximise your price.

Not being critical here, just a viewpoint.;) Then again, I could be so wrong that someone will snap them up tonight!!

If they are in generally good condition for their age you aren't too far off on the price, I would say that 400-450 would see them go quite quickly if someone was looking for a set.

If someone is just looking for spares you should get 300-350

Yeah if I was looking for a set of more, i would be paying that no worries. I paid more than that for the Matt Blacks, but then they were imported from across the pond.

I’ve sold two sets in the past and got £575 and £800, both with all infills and great shape, the later being a perfect nearly new 2012 set. They will sell, there are plenty of people who have a spill and don’t want to claim, want to self insure by having a set in the loft, or want a track set that won’t blow apart. They’ll go, just may take a little while.

That's refreshing to hear and totally squashes my my thoughts. Great news for @Chukzn17 and those of us with spare OEMs.
