Will a hugger for a 2008 -11 blade fit a 2012 blade?

AS above. I sold to a mate my brand new Carbon king rear hugger and he's tried to fit it on his 2012 blade but unsure if it fits correctly.

Anyone know if they are different ?

    cheers

Don't think it will mate though depends on how it's been made.

The 12- on bikes need a larger checkout for the larger canister on the shock.

I cut one to fit, easy enough with a dremel.

As above, the shock reservoir is different on the 2012 bikes onwards. I had the same issue. Currently got the Honda one, expensive but excellent fit.

Yep MY2012+ uses new Showa shocks Front & Rear.

Also the ABS wires need accounting for at the rear by way of a spacer washer.

Nothing insurmountable for anyone with half a brain! ;)

I did the inverse. Put a rear shock from a 2012 blade on my 2009 blade. You will have to cut a rectangular hole in the hugger. image.jpeg
Not very easy to photograph .

I don't have the before shot, but this is what it looks like now...you can kind of see where I've trimmed out.
