I've heard that if you have a unheated shed or garage the worse thing to do is cover it in loads of old sheets or duvets etc, as they will get damp and compound any rusting etc?

Just a couple of thin sheets or a breathable cover and you're good to go

I have two garages both dry with dry floors, one, the wind blows through, the other insulated and draft free but not heated. I find the one where air circulates freely is the best for preventing corrosion on all sorts of metal including the bikes.

My garage is unheated and uninsulated ( standard brick tile roof and metal door ) I have over laid the concrete floor with ply and laid a carpet on top .added two air bricks for ventilation and no damp or rust within .
A thin sheet is ok if you must ......but never wash / dry and then cover or you will end up with an orange bike .

Seems I could do with a wall vent of some kind for air to circulate, it's red hot in the summer in there as well. Dunno if there's any that can be opened or closed depending on weather. Not right good with building site stuff.
    Any suggestions ?
