I reckon it's Maria Herrara who has gone from the 300s to the Supersport class. She is touted as the first woman in that class: http://www.bikesportnews.com/news/news-detail/maria-herrera-steps-up-to-worldssp-in-2019
If someone has not seen the final race of the championship after which Ana Carrasco won the championship - I advise you to look. It was just epic. Win one point.
I watched it live and was enthralled. It really looked like she couldn't get out of the pack in a two steps forward, one step back type of situation. I think she was fortunate to collect that one point, though I acknowledge a championship is won over a season and not the last race.
Remember what happened last year though. Melandri cleaned up at the Island and then failed to deliver for the remainder of the year. Granted though, that Ducati has a better bike this year. Best they enjoy it before the organisers nobble it with 20 kilo panniers!
I know, but WTF is going on ? Honestly, I just don't understand how it is possible. It cannot be ignored. Ah well, fingers crossed eh !
You wait the Ducati will get a rev limit slapped on it after the 3rd round they were the 1st in the queue to get the kwak knocked back but when it works for them its all ok.....as for Honda it's embarrassing ...sprint 10 lap race should be a good one as not having to worry about tyres just pull the pin from the off....be interesting in BSB how the v4s goes with no electronics ...super sport always a good watch..
