    You're over thinking...;)

Chill....the van you saw probably activated the anpr in the police vehicle hence the pull or it committed a moving traffic offence.
The police are back to normal policing unless it's a blatant breach.

If you're really worried and want to pay me £50 I'll follow you on the blade and if it looks like you're going to get pulled I'll pop my baps out at them and red line it off in the other direction to get them off your tail  :D

There is no actual 'offence' or legislation regarding the 2m....it's just advice.

Actually @PauloHRC .... @Boothman could be onto something there with the back of the van .....except roll yourself up in some old carpet....they'll never think to look in there if you're stopped!

Well it's finally home, really happy with it. There are a few issues need sorting out, nose cone has a few marks on it, side stand feels a bit flimsy, few other minor things. Other than that everything looks as though it did when it came out of the showroom! There's alot I want to do with it but I have plenty of time for that, won't be riding much to start with as the blades my main bike...... Let the list of parts to buy begin..... Like it hasn't already!
Screenshot_20200516_163508.jpg Screenshot_20200516_163450.jpg that rear end though..... Probably what sold it for me!

@PauloHRC nice that mate, I started looking for one a couple of years ago and some how ended up with a new car. o_O

A mate of mine's just inherited a mint red and white 98 with 6k on the clock. I'd always preferred the blue.

Yeah I first looked at them a while ago too and it was between this or a 954 but after months maybe even a year of looking nothing came up that was good enough!

First generation red and white ones are the most sought after so demand top money and would have been my first choice but 3.5k was my budget. Plus the second generation 5JJ was the more sorted bike, earlier models had gear box problems I believe! :)

Never really been a fan of motografix number boards before but I had previously mentioned that my only gripe with this bike was that the nose cone paint has suffered slightly over the years. Toyed with the idea of getting a new one but this seemed like the cheaper alternative and I actually quite like it, gives it a fresh look I think. Also Motografix offered me a discount if I let them use the image of the bike with it fitted as they currently don't have an R1 5jj on their website;)
