Probably best ask @Selmer50mark.....he was behind me most of the day! In all seriousness, its more comfortable than expected although the pegs do feel a little higher but seat height is good for me. I'm still running it in and I've been told to do so gently until first 600 miles service, so not really unleashed the power yet. The tyres are the most notable thing at the moment, (never ran Bridgestone before) Bridgestone Street Race RS11 I think they are, feel super sticky just to the touch and very confidence inspiring, even in the wet. I say wet, we had light drizzle most of the day yesterday, that mental rain which normally makes me back right off but these gave me a really good feeling! Came down the Cat and Fiddle at a similar speed to what I would in the dry and @Selmer50mark was no where to be seen so thats speak volumes to me I'll know more when we get a nice sunny warm day, but generally I'm very happy with it, exhaust seems a bit quieter than I'd hoped but the cat is still connected. I may or may not remove that in time.
Yes it's the cat that robs all the noise from the R1, plus it weights loads, removal is a must for better exhaust sound and even more power to weight ratio
If you remove the cat BTW https://ftecu.com/ is a great active tune module that I have used for a few years now, auto tunes the bike live while riding to get the, best AFR , works great and you can also get Into the ecu yourself and change various parameters for the, better
He told me he puts a bit of distance between you and him in case your massive Mr Fandango bum bag flies off and wipes him and the blade out
What sort of a mate over takes a car at the last posable moment just before the twisty section and leaves you hanging . Mind you I'd do the same
Made a few changes over the winter and the 'Forum Hiatus' I plan on doing a few track days this year so I tentatively ordered some new fairings and bodywork from.......wait for it........Aliexpress!!! Got to say when they i arrived i was so relieved, the Quality is really good. All the decals are under a deep coat of lacquer and the fit was perfect......£314 shipped!!!!!
Titanium link pipe, £105 again from Aliexpress. Beats £700+ from Calsport, near i identical product!!!
Got nabbed by a police motorbike on the last ride of the season last year. I was only out for an hour on a local run and passed this bastard going in the opposite direction. Was only bumbling along behind a car and I looked in my mirrors and he only turned round and came after me!!!! Thought to myself .....ah hes a biker, he probably just wants to chat about the bike!!! how wrong I was, did me for my 7x5 plate, £100 and no baffle in the Akrapovic, £50!!! Anyway, you live and learn, got a baffle now and an 9x6 plate with the correct size lettering By the way, the baffle makes bugger all difference, its still loud as F###!!! But its legal so.....
Private plate, less characters, correct font, correct font size, correct spacing, bs number, manufacturers post code . . . all on a 7x5 plate
Living 20 miles from Silverstone, I get the same 100 quid fine for the plate every August, and they are always going the other direction and always turn round. In my experience the biker coppers have been the biggest wankers
Yep. Agree about the biker coppers. Empty dual carriageway, early Sunday morning. Only doing between 80 and 90. Sat on one of the overpasses he came charging after me for a dark visor then added the speeding. Obviously nothing else to do.
