just joined. After about 45 years on and off bikes I have entered the last gasp saloon for sports bikes and treat myself to a very nice mint 2011 ABS in the orange and grey 'Tiger' livery. This is a 60th birthday present to myself and I intend to ride the wheels off it.. If your out and about in the North and see the prettiest 'Blade on the planet give me a little wave.
Hi & welcome Not many tigers around, should be easy to spot in gods own country...enjoy & might see you about
Welcome fella, may see you around but im in disguise now on either a 600rr Hanspree or a Ducati Monster 1200r Will keep an eye out
Hi Big A....when you say orange and grey, is it just and orange and grey fireblade or an actual 'urban tiger' ?? I'll keep an eye out for ya!!
Huh? You got too much WD 40 in your eyes? Big A already said: '. . . a very nice mint 2011 ABS in the orange and grey 'Tiger' livery.' I guess your bedtime is usually before 10.17 pm!!
Hmm except the new Urban Tiger edition was 2014 not 2011....unless it's got aftermarket fairings on? Maybe it's that orange & light grey one they brought out..was that 2010 I think!
Erm exactly that Nigel......that bike is not an urban tiger......it' just orange and grey!!! I nearly bought one of these before I got mine. Quite like the colour scheme actually. It needed a cam chain tensioner though and didn't want something that has been messed about with! Lozzy had my back on that one haha I was very drunk last night though so I could have been wrong!
Erm, well, I had to buy some of my own WD 40 to wipe the egg off my face. Sometimes a smart-ass isn't always so smart!! Amazing coincidence though Paul. I VERY nearly bought one (a 2011 ABS in orange/grey) from my local dealer. However, even with part exchange we were 500 quid away. Four months later I was just 'passing by' when I saw the 2011 tri-colour. The 'tiger' was still there!! I fell for the HRC and left a deposit on the spot. My part-X was a CBR250R in the same tri-colour; a baby blade I ambitiously called it. Now, the 'tiger' is still there and priced BELOW my original offer. Fate!! Pic of both bikes together at handover time:
Nup, no argument. I was quickly put right when I INCORRECTLY described yours as Urban Tiger. Yours looks great and twice as good without the pillion pegs!! (Shame about the helmet though!) Edited to say: Ah, black wheels too. The one I nearly bought had gold. Looks much better with black.
