My bike has only 2.5k miles on it. Yesterday when I went to start it the S value was showing (-). I thought it would sort itself out so i went out anyway. 10 minutes later the eml came on and stayed on and the suspension warning symbol has stayed on.
I can’t reset any of these. I’m probably going to go to my dealer.
The interesting bit is that whatever setting it has defaulted to, the suspension seems to be working better. Plush on the road but it’s not diving on the brakes or squatting on hard acceleration. The engine is also performing differently. The throttle response is instant like a cable quick action throttle and smooth and the bike is sounding sweeter. I have no abs and no TC either. It’s strange but the whole bike actually feels better, nimble and responsive.
    Strange but true.

Sounds like it needs a reset.
Have you done anything to the bike?
    Tyres, sprockets?

    No. I haven’t done anything.
Actually the suspension is rock-hard. Took it out today again. No QS No TC. Don’t know how to reset it.

    Thanks for all your help.
I'm wondering if this was caused by my tyre?
I had just spent the day at Bedford Autodrome.
Maybe it went at the end of that day but I just didn't notice it until the next time I started the bike up.
I did notice when I looked at the bike the next morning that my rear tyre was shredded which was unusual coz it had ben tracking perfectly with a lovely wavy pattern and the rubber balling nicely at the edges, someone even came round to comment on it.

It's due a change anyway. Over 2.5k mostly track mileage on the RS10R!!!

Quite possibly if the wear is that extreme, the system is very sensitive, just be careful on your next tyre choice keep to the 50 profile.
    Has it cleared now?

I haven't done it yet, I'm thinking I'll do it after I change the tyre.
The wear is not too extreme, I could possibly do another track day, it's down to the wear markers in the middle only, the only reason I'm thinking that is because of the way the tyre shredded after. almost like hot/cold tear type . its never done that before so I think it must have gone off for whatever reason while I was still on track and I didn't notice.

See if it clears then take it for a spin and if comes back, be interesting if it has come up with only wear. Think it’s roughly 5mm out will throw a fault.
Did you start getting tc acting strange or and - come up on gear indicator

I get that quite often on my gear indicator especially 5th to 6th, I have to momentarily shut off to regain the indication.

Right now I have the - on my suspension setting although the suspension plus exclamation mark in the info screen has gone off, the EML that was coming on the info (pop up) screen has also stopped and is only present on the dash.

When it is like this my QS and TC are working again but when it comes back on in the pop up screen then both TC and QS stop working although the QS on icon remains on under the gear ind.

the electronics do not give problems even with the 190/55.
Thanks to an engineer, I managed to get this upgrade approved on the vehicle registration document.

I do not know the English legislation.
In Italy you can do it with an engineer.
have you ever asked for permission from Honda Britain?
Excuse my English. I'm using google translate....

Yes they have been asked many times.
What is it that the engineer does?
